To optimize the maintenance process for industrial robots, Mitsubishi Electric has launched a product called the Digital Service Package. This is a collection of services that support maintenance departments in their daily work and automate the manual tasks that were previously performed.

Choose a package that suits your needs

The packages are divided into four levels of advancement - Track, Support, Service and Protect.

Track

The first package focuses on monitoring the status of all connected robots and identifying worrying symptoms. Response time to failure is crucial, so being able to respond immediately to incoming events is essential. Taking this into consideration, the package uses ME2Robot software, which keeps the user informed of the current status and automatically generates reports and notifications in case of problems. This eliminates the need for manual observation of individual robots and physical presence in the vicinity of working installations.

The second important aspect is the planning of maintenance. The most challenging situation for a plant is undoubtedly unscheduled downtime, so it is extremely important to plan such downtime well in advance, considering the production plan. Track notifications automatically inform the user of the upcoming need for service, giving them time to plan all the necessary activities with peace of mind. The scope of the service performed can be based on the actual needs of the robot, saving resources and matching expenditure to the operations actually required.

Support

The package called Support adds another element to the Track package - technical support. Building knowledge within an organization is often an expensive and lengthy process. When using a robot, we want to make sure we are interpreting all the symptoms correctly and planning repairs correctly. It is not uncommon for operators to ignore errors, yet overlooking an important alarm can result in very serious consequences. With the Digital Service Package, Mitsubishi Electric's technical support takes on the role of overseeing the robot's operation and helping to resolve any problems that arise. In the event of a serious incident, the ME2Robot application automatically sends a report to a dedicated email inbox, where a suitably trained engineer can take over the case and help the user immediately.

Service

After all, robots are essentially mechanical devices, and you will not always get by without physical contact with the machine. In the next service package, there is, therefore, another element related to robot operation, namely service visits. Regular servicing plays a key role in the operation of a robot and provides confidence in the performance of the equipment in use. Here, there is no minimum number of robots required for the service technician to arrive, so even a small company is able to guarantee stable support. In this way, getting into robotization becomes easy because, even by investing in robots without internal technical knowledge, we can ensure that the products are properly serviced throughout their service life.

Protect

The culmination of the Digital Service Package variants is the Protect package. Sometimes, despite providing the best possible protection, a breakdown will occur that needs to be repaired as soon as possible. To insure against the unexpected, it is worth opting for an extension to the warranty period of the purchased equipment. We can acquire certainty about maintenance expenses and ensure our return on investment in robotization. By combining all of the previous elements, we gain a comprehensive robot protection system that controls the day-to-day operation of the robots, helps with problems, services, and repairs them when necessary.
